Paul Mollo, Pharm.D. is the Senior Vice President, Chief Pharmacy Officer of Guthrie Clinic. Guthrie is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system designed to offer patients a full spectrum of health services incorporating primary care, complex specialty care, behavioral health services, surgical services, inpatient care, durable medical equipment services, home care, long-term care, and palliative care.
Prior to taking his role at Guthrie Clinic, Mollo spent 27 years in several roles
at Ascension, one of the largest non-profit catholic-based healthcare systems in the
U.S. His most recent role was Senior Director of 340B program and Medication Assistance
for Ascension Rx.
Mollo graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy in 1995 and from
the University of Florida School of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy program in 2002.
As an active community member, Mollo has held various positions on local not-for-profit
boards. He spent four years on the board of 340B Health and is still an active member
of the 340B Health Pharmacy Services Committee. He has received awards in supply chain
management for innovation and creativity around formulary implementation and medication
cost reduction.
Mollo has co-authored articles on medication reconciliation as well as medication
safety for the Joint Commission and was a past speaker for both the Island Peer Review
Organization (IPRO) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IPRO). He is Lean
Six Sigma Champions Trained as well as Change Acceleration Process (CAP) Trained.
